Privacy policy and terms of use.

How we collect, use and protect the information you share with us, including through the forms on this site, and the terms under which the website is offered.

Effective 3 October 2026

This page has two parts. The privacy policy explains what personal information K. Raghu & Co. collects through this website, why, where it is stored and how you can control it. The terms of use set out the basis on which the website and its content are provided.

Privacy policy

1. Who we are

K. Raghu & Co. is a firm of Chartered Accountants with its head office at #281, K. R Pinnacle, II Floor, 7th Main, BTM II Stage, Bangalore 560 076 and a branch office at #203 Jasmine Block, Manasa Aushita Enclave, Puppalaguda Road, Hyderabad. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the firm is the data fiduciary for the personal data described on this page. You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].

2. What we collect

Information you give us. The website has three forms: the contact form, the shorter "Write to us" form in the footer of every page, and the careers application form. Depending on the form, you may give us your name, email address, phone number, the area you need help with, a message, the position you are applying for, a few lines about yourself and any document you attach, such as a CV. Each form also records the date and time you submitted it and the page you submitted it from.

Information from correspondence. If you write to us by email or call one of our offices, we keep the correspondence and any details you share in it.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting provider records standard server logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, the referring page and timestamps. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running, not to build a profile of you.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, for how long, from which country and device, and how visitors arrived. Google Analytics sets cookies on your browser and collects your IP address, which Google truncates before storing, together with a random identifier for your browser. We do not send names, email addresses or form contents to Google Analytics, and we have not enabled advertising features or the linking of analytics data to Google advertising accounts. Google processes this data on our behalf under its privacy policy and may transfer it to servers outside India.

3. How our forms work

The forms on this website are built and hosted by Zoho Forms, a service of Zoho Corporation Private Limited, Chennai, and are embedded on our pages. When you submit a form, the information travels directly to Zoho's servers in India and is stored there in our Zoho Forms account. Zoho processes it on our instructions as a data processor and does not use it for its own purposes. Zoho's handling of the data is governed by its privacy policy and security programme, which include encryption of data in transit and at rest.

Submissions trigger an email notification to the relevant team at the firm, and staff who handle enquiries and recruitment can view submissions in the Zoho Forms account under individual, password-protected logins. Nothing you type into a form is stored on this website's own servers.

Every form includes a consent checkbox. You cannot submit a form without ticking it, and ticking it is your consent for us to use the details in that form for the purpose described next to the box: responding to your enquiry, or considering your application.

4. Why we use your information

  • To respond to you. Contact and footer submissions are used to answer your enquiry, to call or email you back, and to follow up on the matter you raised.
  • To consider applications. Careers submissions are used to assess your application, to arrange interviews and to communicate with you about the process.
  • To provide services. If you become a client, the information becomes part of the engagement records we keep under our professional obligations.
  • To keep the site secure. Server logs are used to detect abuse, diagnose faults and protect the site.
  • To meet legal and professional obligations. As Chartered Accountants we are subject to the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, the regulations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and other laws that may require us to keep or produce records.

We do not use the information you give us for marketing, we do not add you to mailing lists without asking, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.

5. Who we share it with

  • Zoho Corporation, which hosts our forms and stores submissions, as described above.
  • Google LLC, which provides Google Analytics and processes usage data as described above.
  • Our website hosting provider, which serves the site's pages and keeps the server logs described above. Pages and files may be delivered through a content delivery network with servers outside India; form submissions do not pass through it.
  • Our email provider, which carries the notifications and correspondence about your enquiry or application.
  • Regulators, courts and authorities where the law or our professional obligations require it.
  • A successor firm, if the practice or part of it is transferred, on the same terms as this policy.

We do not share your information with any other third party for their own use.

6. How long we keep it

  • Contact and footer enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last correspondence with you, then deleted from Zoho Forms and our mailboxes.
  • Job applications are kept for up to 12 months after the position is filled or the application closed, so that we can consider you for similar roles, then deleted. If you join the firm, the application becomes part of your employment record.
  • Client engagement records are kept for the periods required by the Chartered Accountants Act, the Income-tax Act, the Companies Act and related rules, which is generally eight years or longer.
  • Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short rolling period, typically no more than 30 days.

7. How we protect it

Form submissions are encrypted in transit and stored by Zoho with encryption at rest, access controls and audit logging. Within the firm, access to submissions and correspondence is limited to the people who need it to respond to you, and each person uses an individual login. The website is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so if you believe your information has been compromised, please write to us at once.

8. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it has been used.
  • Correct or update information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erase your personal data where we no longer need it for the purpose it was collected or where the law does not require us to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it, and we may still need to keep some records to meet legal obligations.
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Raise a grievance about how we have handled your data.

To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected] from the email address you used with us, or by post to the Bengaluru office marked for the attention of the Grievance Officer. We will confirm receipt and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Cookies and browser storage

This website uses two kinds of cookies. Google Analytics sets analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) that distinguish your browser and session so that visits can be counted; they last up to two years and are not used for advertising. The embedded Zoho form may set cookies that are strictly necessary for the form to work, such as keeping your place in a form while you fill it in and protecting the form against automated abuse. Neither is used to track you across other sites.

You can stop Google Analytics by blocking cookies for this site in your browser settings or by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on. The site works normally without analytics cookies.

10. Videos, images and links

Videos and images on the site are hosted by us and do not load content from social media or advertising networks. The Resources page links to Acts, statutory forms and government portals on external websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.

11. Children

The website is intended for businesses and adults seeking professional services or employment. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please write to us and we will delete it.

12. Where your data is kept

Form submissions and our correspondence are stored in India. Website pages are delivered by a hosting provider whose network may serve cached copies of pages from outside India; no personal data you submit is held in that network.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The effective date at the top of this page shows the current version. Material changes will be noted on this page for a reasonable period after they take effect.

Terms of use

1. Acceptance

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

2. Information, not advice

The content of this website, including service descriptions, articles, alerts, case studies and links to statutes and forms, is provided for general information only. It does not constitute professional, legal, tax or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for advice tailored to your circumstances. Tax law and rates change frequently, and content may not reflect the latest position. Please confirm with the firm before acting on anything you read here.

3. No engagement by browsing

Using this website, submitting a form or corresponding with us does not create a client relationship. The firm acts for a client only once an engagement letter has been agreed and signed. Until then, please do not send us confidential documents or information beyond what is needed for us to understand your enquiry.

4. Accuracy and availability

We take care to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it is free of errors or interruptions. We may change or withdraw any part of the site at any time without notice.

5. External links

Links to Acts, forms, government portals and other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or the accuracy of the documents they host. Some archived forms are linked through third-party archives and may be superseded; always check the current version on the issuing authority's website.

6. Intellectual property

The text, design, photographs, videos, logos and code on this website belong to K. Raghu & Co. or are used under licence. You may view, print or download pages for your own reference, provided you keep any copyright notices. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or use the content commercially without our written permission. The K. Raghu & Co. name and wordmark may not be used without consent.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site in a way that damages or disrupts it, to attempt unauthorised access to any part of it or the systems behind it, to scrape or harvest content or personal data, to submit false or misleading information through the forms, or to use the forms to send unsolicited commercial messages.

8. Submissions

Information you submit through the forms must be accurate and must relate to you or to a business you are authorised to represent. Submitting a form does not oblige the firm to act for you or to offer you a position. We will treat what you send us in accordance with the privacy policy above.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, K. Raghu & Co. and its partners and staff are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content, including indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law. This limitation does not apply to services provided under a signed engagement, which are governed by the terms of that engagement.

10. Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from your use of the website are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru have exclusive jurisdiction.
